Lately? Nowhere. Damn things have gotten too pricey. I paid $20 + shipping for too many of them to entertain the thought of $60+

I know they are nice and light. I couldn't find that same pattern. I doubt I'd be able to shave another pound off mine though.

Side note have you checked the accuracy of that scale? I only ask because I have two. One is always 5oz's heavier than the other. I compared them against my digital food scale and kept the accurate one. I raided the other for its batteries, same ones my range finder uses.

So I went into a mobility scooter store and asked about foot platforms. The staff cock their head slightly. I show them pictures and they say let me look out back. They come back with one I smile. They say we have quite a few actually would you like to look. Of course I say yes as my smile starts to grow. They began handing me different platforms, one was too thin one was too heavy but coated with rubber which intrigued me. Then..a lighter one but not too light and easily strong enough. Lots of holes for water to drip through. A spot for angle adjustment screw. "That's it." I said now beaming. The staff shared worried glances.. "how much?" I asked. "$30"... "sold!" I could feel my Dutch heart rejoicing. "You have made my day... by the way I may have need for a few more in the future if this works out." Well now there were three staff members looking at me like I was crazy because their scrap was the highlight of my day. As I walked out I heard one say to the other: "Well...that was odd." The smart one of the bunch gave me her card.

So now I will make a DIY platform superior to what I have now. I realize there are a couple DIY posts about scooter platforms already. They tend to be using a different style. One that I would prefer but beggars can't be choosers. I plan to try and make one similar to Slomo's but since I don't have a Turkey seat to take that bracket from I will have to DIY that too. So I plan on documenting the different phases of this and posting them here.
Following . I love this .

I've never checked it, but if I were you I would toss the one reading high in my boat, lol.

I've gone a to scooter repair store and sent a friend to another and they didn't have the good one.

What's that rubber mallet doing in that pic? Surveyors don't use those to drive pk nails in asphalt, so it must be a new secret saddle weapon you're hiding from us!

I was hoping it had gone unnoticed, you know for follow up extort....I mean conversation...

Hahaha. That one comes out when we have our family fishing competition. Sadly my daughter is kicking my ass this year by 2lbs. That scale won't cut it. Lol.

Yes I'm working off your idea except I didnt have the turkey seat to take that piece off of though. I do wonder what a series of 3 per side grade 8 bolts protruding from the tree side of the platform would do though.

That pic was taken in a buddy of mine’s shop. I get my aluminum from him so we went ahead and cut and drilled the posts while I was there and I went ahead and assembled everything to check for fit since he’s a Clemson guy and therefore untrustworthy.
