How to get strange looks. AKA DIY platform

Thanks for the advice. I was literally laying awake last night trying to figure the issue. I came to the same conclusion. I've got another tube I'm going to use that's longer. It will allow me to move that platform higher.

Well take a look.

Plus a DIY stick that adds 4.5 inches per step.

All while wearing my original 'crocs'. Made with wood and leather the way the ancestors intended.

That’s my platform, stick and all straps/carabiners...
Dalton, I've been using this same platform with a versa button and ratchet strap. But now I want to switch the strap so I cam it. What strap are you using? I see that it fits through the round holes nicely. That's what I'm after. Is that strap from Dan O?

I was using a lone wolf seat platform and it had a little more flex than I was comfortable with at 220lbs. I found a decent deal on a scooter platform and used some brackets, post and a strap from DanO and couldn't be happier. This thing is rock solid and cams over tight. It literally does not budge. It has some heft to it but I don't mind (it's a sacrifice I'm willing to pay for stability). Anyone who is having issues with the lone wolf seat being flimsy, don't give up and maybe give this a try! Standoffs are bolts centered at 3/4" from each end of a 9" x 1 1/4" post and the platform bolt is centered at 3 1/4" from the top of the post. The strap should be higher than the platform when camming and the level adjustment bolt on the platform should be adjusted so the platform is slightly elevated ( at an upward angle) and you'll have a solid set up.
