I know there is an anti-camo movement, is there an anti-black(clothing color) movement?

An older hunter I know, fairly successful guy, told me he does this too. Flips his hand around if he walks up on one and he said they kinda stop and stare and are confused but they don’t freak out as easily.
Deer are going.... what is wrong with this idiot?

LOL

So I like camo just because it put me in a mindset. I personally think it does help hide some movements, but it's not the decision factor.

I do think that if you are in a camo set that is very different from the environment, you basically outline the human shape either way. Some of the old timers even said they mix match their camo clothes so they are not forming the human silhouette, because deer has learn to recognized it.

But I see a few interviews with John Eberhart that he make sure he does not have any solid black in his gear. That's no matter what time of year you hunt, solid black stand out against any background. Especially against trees, which kind of make sense to me.

Should I leave the solid backpack at home? Should the guys running black Muddy sticks or stands consider spray painting them? I mean the Beast Stand and a few platforms are solid black.
Do you kill deer? Have you noticed yourself getting busted often when using that pack? You really gotta rely on your own experiences. If you notice things looking up at you and such do things to break it up, shoot paint it if you really like the pack. You gotta hunt your own hunt, if you like camo and it works for you, everyone who tells you otherwise can take a long walk off a short pier....... what works for one may not work for anyone else..

I never considered it’d be read like that. Whoops. It’d be all white in my case, and not pretty. Did almost shoot a buck like that once. Well, saw a buck and reached for my rifle. Lol.
Sometimes I get a little carried away with some posts. I don’t want to get too serious about things. I do appreciate your sense of humor and figured out early you frequently voice your own opinion on many things, which is great! I always figured everyone has a right to their own Stupid opinion… just kidding!!
Keep it up. Thanks

Im part of the anti black coffee movement cause mutants drink black coffee
Coffee is only meant to be drank one way, strong, black and from a coffee cup that's been seasoning for months. In a distant second, a strong black at a coffee shop will do but the baristas give me a strange look, almost like they don't know how to pour straight coffee into a cup.

As to the OP's point, I've had deer 30 feet below me stare right at me but keep walking in. That's with me wearing solid coyote pants, camp shirt and no hood. It's not if they see and smell you, it's whether what they see or smell is threatening.

I don't even know what "the human outline" is like from a deer's perspective because it's mind-boggling to me that a deer can stand 20 feet from you and not see you wearing a bright orange pumpkin suit, as long as you're standing still. That bad of vision is beyond what I can even imagine.

As I do have the unfortunate perspective of a deer (I’m color blind) I can say the human outline is the human outline. It’s more about the lines than colors. Orange to a deer is actually similar to a muted grey.

Jason Samkowiak's youtube video on camo is really an eye opener. He doesn't use camo at all. He shows how traditional plaids do well.

No sir, it's meant to be drunk with pumpkin spice, and lots and lots of milk.
