I"ve read a lot about kickouts, gaff outs, "Partial Falls" and potential accidents lately....

it will and its going to hurt, your linesman is going to catch on the stick below you and slam you face in to it and the tree, hopefully your steps don't gash you too bad. When you fall you have to lean back in to the linesman and let you body take a beating hopefully you slow down before impact with the earth, good times
That's the price you pay to play though. The alternative is just free falling. What we do is inherently dangerous. The only truly safe way to hunt is from the ground but those guys get shot and have accidents also. Not trying to be confrontational but there are risk with everything. I'm texting and driving right now. Probably more dangerous than climbing up a tree

@Vtbow Awhile ago I updated the video description to reflect my current methods. I had another video that detailed the system with the WE Stepps and I removed it. This video shows it with both the WE stepps and a climbing stick.
In the video you removed, I thought you said the knaider/swaider combo didn't work well for you and that the 5-step aider with the knaider was what you were going to use? So, the 5-step aider/knaider combo didn't end up working well?

Yes sir. All we can do is take steps to be as safe as we can.
But to say you cannot fall in a saddle or my linesman will catch me is a bit of a stretch. At best.
All that to say be careful. That’s all

I think I’m going to go with auto locking for my bridge. Do you fellas who use them find that they freeze? I know locking biners lock on me
