This is off topic but a little expansion to Iron_llama post above for those interested. Point Blank maximum range is the distance based on the size of your target that your bullet is never higher or lower than the diameter of the vital zone. This way from point blank to this established range you only have to aim in the middle of vital zone.Whitetail deer range in size dependent on age, sex, etc. Let’s say the area a bullet must hit on an average deer is 8”, the old pie plate theory, anyway use the attached link below to figure your rifle load combinations range. I play on the safe side and calculate a 4-6” vital zone.
