Rumor has it that the teams were set up in order of hunting prowess on a scale of 1 to 9 with #1 being the most, lets say "challenged" (isn't huck72412 on team #1??) and #9 being the most highly skilled? I believe team #9 is the only team that doesn't need training wheels to go out into the woods....;) Just saying....

I'll admit that it is challenging forcing myself down the intellectual totem pole so that I can feel relevant here on the forum. As far as hunting prowess, well I'll just let 11 P&Y bucks speak to that. Enjoy the dust stirred up by Team 1 sooner than later.

How many p&y’s does it take to make a b&c?

Buck quality is so dependent on location and surrounding properties. I'd bet even Dan infant would struggle to get 11 P&Y in 20 years of public land archery down here.

What do you think @DaveT1963 ?

Absolutely!! Couldn't agree more. If Dan hunted the skinny woods that we hunt ( with high deer densities) he'd have amazing success. I mean if some of my friends can do it, anyone can:cool:

I have hunted a lot of states and taken quite a few bucks along the way. Anyone that thinks TX PUBLIC land is easy needs to come on out and give it a whirl. I pretty much scout all year and just finding a 3 1/2 year old buck is challenging - much less getting a crack at one. And TX public receives a LOT of pressure - I sometimes laugh when it is suggested to find overlooked spots..... good luck with that. Add in a 2 1/2 month GUN season - well you get the idea. I have never had a problem getting away from pressure or getting on mature animals in most of my out-of-state hunts. The mid-west is easiest IMO, the deep south pine & swamps, and big woods of the north can also be difficult if you are seeking mature animals.
