It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

How did you like the shorter tether? How did it effect the comfort and what not?

It worked just fine, just shortened the fork for comfort and having it short (tether) I could rest the rifle steadier for the longer shots. Don't want a short tether while bowhunting.

For you guys that went to the get together any feed back on the jx3 hybrid?
What are you wanting to know about it. It’s everything that has been posted here. I think with a little ingenuity someone could mod it to make it their ultimate system. It’s the heaviest saddle system and the most comfortable. I haven’t tried to shoot a bow from one. Some do. It’s pretty rigid and you could add drink holders, pouches or any other accessories to it with ease.

Mostly I am wanting to know if John let out anything about when the next batch will be ready. I also want to know from the saddle users what everyones first impressions were.

I just got back from saddle palooza and got to watch the jx3 in use a pretty good bit. I'm definitely getting on the list. I had already used one with @kyler1945 for a very limited amount of time. A few minutes at best. I was a little skeptical with that first showing but after seeing it in action at Saddle Palooza and meeting John I will definitely be buying one of these. Anybody on the list I would suggest staying on the list. I retract that last statement I would suggest getting off the list so I can bump up in line and then you can get back on later:wink:. All kidding aside I think this thing will see a lot of use by me. I do see the learning curve being a bit more involved than some of the other saddles. But not as bad as I originally thought it would be. Very excited about it.

I am primarily a bow hunter. I don’t want it if it’s not handy for shooting a bow. One of the primary reasons I’d like one is to hunt from the ground. Sitting in tall grass and being able to be supported in a sitting up position without the need of a tree or some other back support.

I didn’t have any issues shooting a bow out of it. It is heavy for a saddle, but carries very well & packs sticks well also. Super comfortable!

I got to try the JX3 out at saddlepalooza and I’ll have one. That’s saying a lot coming from me because I’m an ultra light freak, but that saddle is sweet! It carries very well and insanely comfortable. For all day rut hunt or rifle hunts it would be money!

And don’t forget it is going to be great for turkey hunting. I love the JX3

I sat in one today. This thing is COMFORTABLE! I was surprised with the shoot ability from it in the seated position. I honestly thought it would be better for a taller person. I’m not so convinced anymore. I did feel the seat could have been much smaller for me. Hmmmmmm

Bow and the JX3 HYBRID is 2 peas in a pod. This saddle was made with the bow hunter in mind.

I am thankful to John as well for allowing me to try one of the first ones . Glad to see more saddle hunters think it is great
I love it too

Could you wear a RC harness and tether to the tree while in the hybrid? Anyone try that? Is that even possible.
I'm just kicking around some ideas, thinking of additional safety measures in addition to routine inspections of my gear etc.

Anxiously waiting for my opportunity to get a hybrid. Been on the list for awhile, hoping it happens soon.

After you see the JX3 you will see you won’t need any additional safety measures the Jx3 seems to be really well thought out piece of gear
I think any additional harness would actually get in the way and make it uncomfortable. You would be sitting on straps and Walmart ever instead of the seat.
