It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

Is the metal tree fork long enough to keep your knees away from the tree? I am 6’ 5” and that was one of the things I did not like about traditional saddles. I am definitely a sitter and not a leaner.
Yeah , knees not on the tree. I found I preferred the fork a bit shorter & straddle tree. But started w/ fork maxed out.

Ontariofarmer is answering all questions correctly and you can take his word on it.
Jbogg, you will be highly pleased with the JX3 HYBRID.
Jefferson 10940, he makes one and to next on list.
There are other attachments, cold weather stuff and more coming, just remember that JX3 Outdoors is just beginning it's journey.

How does it compare to the original Guido's Web for comfort?

I like it better because the structure is more rigid. I don’t need the shoulder straps while hunting and the webbing seems to be less obstructive
The whale tail is smaller and is adjustable which is a benefit
I suppose a really big man may prefer a guido because it came in larger sizes but I am not sure about that

Compared to the GW
More adjustment to the back and your not in a constant lean back while sitting like the web.
Cooler than the web and during cold weather, I have cut a workout mat to match the shape of the seat and back to cover the mesh so it will be warmer. (Did not use the mat this year)
With the whale tail smaller, it's easier to rotate around tree while sitting and the whale tail keeps most all weight and pressure off your legs and feet while holding yourself in an angle around the tree.

Next time you do a video can you show your self in a leaning position? Seems like it could be a little awkward standing up and then leaning. I am sure it’s not but but would like to see you demonstrate..
thanks

I’ve been on the list for about two months now. I’m scared we’re not going to see these things till April or May.

Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately, the way the shoulder straps are built and attach, this wouldn't line up well and work for load lifters. I've got some Ideas I'll tinker with at some point.

I have plenty of webbing and plastic hardware from all my projects, so I put together a couple straps to secure deer and gear.

Check out the video for a quick view of how I'll be packing them out. I may make some dedicated vertical straps, but I'm not sure it's necessary, as the leg straps work so great for this.

You should probably make those videos outside where there is more light. It’s pretty hard to see your rig with no front lighting.

This is the response I recieved from him (in the attached picture). I'm down from 340# and still trying to get back down to around 250# or so.

Currently hunting out of either my Summit Goliath or XOP Maximus.

Not on manufacturing but hunts.
Been able to hunt hard and alot from my HYBRID. Absolutely love it! I like being able to sit to shoot in any angle without the use of a ring of steps or a platform.
I have taken an 8 pt with my bow and just Saturday, I was able to take a 7 pt with my rifle.
The HYBRID is super comfortable. I pulled an all dayer on opening day of gun season and I was able to take an 1.5 hour nap.
I'm still playing and learning about the HYBRID and I like my tether long while bow hunting because I'm able to rotate completely around the tree to keep the deer on my bow side but I'll be trying a short tether this weekend for rifle cause I don't have to rotate as far with rifle.

How did you like the shorter tether? How did it effect the comfort and what not?

Seems the new Lone Wolf Custom Gear sticks would pack up really sweet in this thing.

Got this from John this morning:
Thanks for inquiring about the new JX3 Hybrid!
We have changed manufactures due to inconsistently in quality no safety issues just not willing to sacrifice quality to meet a sales quota!
That’s really slowed down production!
The new manufacturers are working hard to get all the retooling done to start production up again!
We are still doing in house production runs but with limited output capacity...it’s going to be hard to give out a shipping date.
We will add you to the no obligation to buy list And keep you posted on the progress

Good to know.
