Kestrel Flex Replica

Here is a complete picture. I leave the lineman's loops off as I just use the bridge attachment points (main webbing) as the lineman's belt.

If you do decide to make it, just make sure the stitches are good and proper. There are resources here to help with that!

The first one I made using my mom's Janome heavy duty. It didn't turn out well due to being too much for the machine to handle. I now have a Juki 8700-h and that machine could go through the saddle and my finger.

Also, test at ground level!!!!!

Also, the 1 inch webbing isn't tubular on the mantis. I used tubular which is stronger but is more difficult to adjust the g hooks and oval sliders. Just use climb rated webbing!

The most helpful info thus far. I guess I'm more of a visual, hands on learner lol. I was thinking of leaving the linemans loops off as well but still undecided. Definitely using tubular 1" and polyester 2" webbing. Safety first! I'm also thinking of trying the "hook it to your truck" method of testing my stitch strength. I think between my idea of using "X" box and "W" stitching, along with bar tacks, I'll be alright. Thanks for all your help man! After days of searching I finally got my list of materials and suppliers. I'm ordering soon and will definitely post pictures of my progress.
