Kestrel hip pinch

Would adding any padding help matters?

We removed padding from the Kestrel because it created more issues.

Second sit in Kestrel yesterday. It went well I’m 5’8” and 215. Used XOP climber seat and traction belt hangs a little but is manageable. On first sit 3 hours tree leaning back a little no problem saddle did pinch a little but also manageable but not Evo comfort. On second sit 7 hours same tree I incorporated back belt helped a lot. Did have a little pinch but. Messed with bridge now at 27”. Eye height tether. I found these in Walmart on way to Everglades worked real good they have jam cleats so you just toss the line in tether biner and adjust with jam cleats works great. They were in camping gear. Nite Ize Camjam.

I just got mine. Size 2 but I'm a big guy. I hope I do t have discomfort issues. I have other issues though with the blakes hitch on the linemans belt getting so tight that I can't adjust. I'll post that in separate post.

I have to say though. I did go out to set up a tree and the walk in was a pleasure. Saddle around my waist, backpack on my back, bow in hand. Freedom.

Just get a ropeman for your linemans belt. Most people are using one.

Shortened bridge and hung again. Way better. Key for me is buckling waist belt really low and loose. Had a great test run today.

Ok guys sorry been gone for a while. Hopefully this thread is helping others. Wanted to give an update. I called new tribe and they gladly said to send my size 1 back and they would send me a size 2. I sent it back last Friday, not this past one. Got an email from them saying there was some wear on the kestrel, turns out the wear marks were carbon powder I use in my tubs for scent control. I didn't even realize I got it on the new saddle. Totally my fault. They stated even with the carbon dark spots they would keep it and return a size 2 to me. That was I think Friday. I actually got the size 2 in the mail today. I can't wait to use it! I have to say this company's customer service is absolutely incredible. The carbon marks were totally my fault and they should have not have switched out the saddle for me. On top of it they shipped it back immediately! I actually didn't plan on having it back for this week (I took this week off to bowhunt) so I planned on using my modified big buck sling or web. Now I have it back and can use it all week!!!! I can't say enough about their great customer service! I killed this guy Friday and still have 3 doe tags to fill. I plan on doing so this week from my kestrel. I will update after my first hunt in it.

Also wanted to say I used a climber for the first time in a while Saturday. Reminded me why I hate then. Anyone wanna buy a API bowhunter? Lol. Really though 100$ all yours.

Now that I've sat for roughly 30 hours in my kestrel it seems to be getting more comfortable. Not sure it's getting broken in or I'm getting used to it. I

Ok had a good sit this morning in the size 2. Next to no hip pinch. Night and day difference!!!! Only sat for a couple hours and was able to smoke a doe. Back at in now about 25 ft up in my kestrel. Really liking this thing! The larger size def fixed my problem.
