I'm just hoping it makes 2 miles in calf-deep water while humping decoys, a gun, and my dog's platform more of a casual thing than a grind.
It wont. That is a different kind of walking that puts significant more focus on leg pull/push if there is soft mud involved. Box step ups/weighted box step ups, lunges, squats will all be more beneficial for duck hunting.

@Nutterbuster If you have a pullup bar and a KB already, You could add a sandbag with handles and have all you need for a ton of different killer fullbody workouts at home. We added battle ropes at home during covid but that's not really needed. I dont have a KB at home but have a 60#DB and will give this a go if it ever stops freakin raining.

This is a cool challenge. I lift in my garage gym every Monday-Thursday morning, but this could be a good cardio/ functional strength adder to do a few times a week in the evenings. I don't have any KB that heavy, but I could definitely take one of my 50lb dumbells for a walk.

A good book for all things physical is “Becoming a supple leopard” I can’t recommend it enough, anyone who even thinks of fitness should be very familiar with this book. I’m 34 for reference but that’s just a number, all the most physically fit people I know are in their late 30’s early 40’s.

Never thought I'd see this recommended on SH...

You hit the nail on the head here. All of the different stretches alone make this book worth it IMO. We are living in the golden age of sports med/physical fitness

My dude. If we can have the wiggle out of the saddle contest and a semi guided hunt .... plus a 3 pack of beer. None of that sissy east coast stuff, good Oregon beer

You want a 5 10 and 15 lber in plastic pink and other colorful wrappings. I’ve been stubbing my toes on them for two years while they get moved around the house but never used by my wife lol

Now I'm going to have to find a 24kg kettlebell. I can start with my 30 tho. Or a 20 in one hand and 30 in the other; I'm still engaging my core that way. Maybe this is a way to acclimate to the exercise gradually.

Coincidentally the only KB at our house is a single 15 pound plastic one that lives in our basement guest room that my wife has used maybe 5 times since it was purchased 4 years ago. I have talked recently about buying some for me to put in my gym, but I actually would use the things.

How about yall Come carry 5 Gallon buckets of asphalt with me for 8 hours a day .and my Boss will pay you good.
Give me the kettle bells. Roofing S U C K S. You should really change your name to Roofabeast. Carrying that roofing crap on a hot roof in boots all summer long X3 times worse than well balanced weights in sneakers.

Oh yeah I’m blown away by the knowledge we have for personal fitness nowadays, it’s leaps and bounds ahead of 10-20 years ago.

Rogue has all good choices they also let you use affirm to split the payments easy peasy, kettlebell kings are great also, Sorinex is great but expionsive, titan has come a long way and are every bit of worth it. Stay away from Walmart, ****sSporting, Academy.

What app are you using? I'm having to calculate all that myself which is kinda irritating.
I've used "map my run" in the past and it works well. It shows your current pace and pace for duration live. That really helps if your trying to hit a specific time. I used to use that a lot when I was trying to get my mile times lower.
