Hey Marylanders - @Bigterp, @GCTerpfan etc, you guys ok? Sound off!
Glad you’re ok! Hopefully your coworkers are ok?Half of my office use that bridge to get to work. Seem it's going to suck for awhile. But bigger issue is the port closure. Look out if you're plan to order anything from oversea.
Yeah, it happened around 1 AM so very little traffic, most of the people that were on the bridge was a construction crew that was working on the potholes apparently. Its a sad day, 5-6 of the crew who fell into the water are still unaccounted for. The ship's crew reported power lost and that they are going to crash, when the construction crew heard about it they started warning everyone instead of just running away themselves.Glad you’re ok! Heroes in my book.
I heard on the news that they have found 2 workers alive and well. Sorry to say they did find one body.Man, crazy that happened. I'm down in Florida with my kids and don't travel to Baltimore that often so personally unaffected. Traffic is going to be a mess in that area for quite a while, but more importantly it looks like there's 6 people still missing from that construction crew, and likely presumed dead at this point. My heart goes out to their families.
