Has anyone received the knee pads they ordered from arcteryxen.com? I never got a conformation email, checked my credit card and it was charged from China and the website is no longer up and running. I have a funny feeling that money may be gone.
My buddy bought some Arc knockoffs...may have been Emerson, IDK. But, while they LOOK identical, there is one important difference. The genuine Arcs have a sticky texture on the hard plastic. The knockoffs are a smooth plastic and they aren't "grippy" on tree bark. The knockoffs require more muscle tension to keep knees from sliding around the tree.I bought some arcx knock offs by Emerson for $20 on ebay. No complaints. Just couldnt do $70 for dinky knee pads. Kinda weird, but the last few months, I have found “knock offs” of archery/hunting gear and have been surprised by how identical the items were to “originals” and at a fraction of the cost. Mostly through ebay.

Problem I have with the arcteryx is they are small for me. The straps. Lol. Being a big guy with bad knees they are tight on the legs. The padding for me is good on softwood like a pine but not on a hardwood. But I am probably the exception with bad knees from football and the military service.
As a fellow big guy, aka gravitationally enhanced, my calves are pretty large. The arcteryx straps are at their max just over jeans. Definitely not an option over outer layers.
My knees are not so good. But dayum, when I kneel down (one or two knees) with them on, I feel like a 30 year younger me!
I usually use the GW and have no need for these. I plan on using a fleece saddle and/or sit drag for late season evening hunts, so bought these to try. When I say late season, I mean from Christmas until mid-February.
I've been using the same ones all season and love them. No need to spend the $ on others for me. I've had knee surgeries and would not tolerate anything uncomfortable but these are great.I tried the Arc knock offs on Amazon for $35 and hated them. Hard, very little padding, wouldn't stay where I wanted them, so I sent them back. Bought these at the local Lowe's the other day for $15. Both straps are elastic, which I like. I slide them down over my shins for the walk in, then slide them onto my knees at the tree. Plenty of padding, quiet, good grip on the tree...
