Last year sold my longbows and killed 2 deer with a compound just not the same!!!

I’ve said that I was only carrying my stick bow going into the last 2 seasons, but kept shooting my compound. A few hunts into the season both years, I switched back.

I’ve been shooting all off season and haven’t even took my compound out of the case, and I’m enjoying it more than ever.

My little bro just started with a stick bow and with some instruction on form and helping him out and tuning arrows properly, after a few weeks I’m confident he can kill a deer at 20. Instruction and encouragement helps. I’ve been trad the whole time but did by two compounds years ago. Hated it both were sold within a week of buying them. Having a mentor is important just like life in general and I have had several. I have killed squirrels, rabbits, chickens, but have never even gotten to draw my bow on a deer in 11 seasons. Been hunting public with no time to scout (kids). However I finally have some property to hunt on and hope that all will change this season. I am confident that my last squirrel kill at 22 yards will make deer a piece of cake if I have the opportunity.
