Latitude Carbon Sticks - Saddle Attachment Method?

I plan to sell one set or the other (SS or the Ones) at some point but I do suck at actually selling stuff. Right now, the SS are leading for me.

In your opinion, what makes them better than the Ones?
Most of it is the bad taste of Tethrd more than anything. Really not a fan of the stealth strips on my Ones (bought them slightly used and previous owner put it on). Stacking and nonmetalic noise are better on SS to me. I still wish both of them made longer sticks, I still like a 20+ inch step.
I also said it that way as I haven't tested neither set very extensively. I'll likely try both once season gets here or it cools off enough to do more testing beforehand.

I am initially impressed with the SS sticks. No, they aren't true carbon fiber, but as long as they hold up I dont care. They are light, strong, set well and dont kick out. When you bang two sticks together it sounds like plastic rattling antlers. Not to say thats a good thing, but its not metallic. Currently stealth stripping the posts and the contact points when sticks stack together.

So far my only con is that you need to take care to tie off the amsteel the way latitude recommends. Its not hard to do and im sure it will become more natural with time. I just hope that incorrectly attaching the sticks doesn't lead to failures, as has been seen in the one FB post. This could be a failure point similar to the original tethrd skeletor standoff / setting problem.

Pre ordered 4 sticks July 20th, got the shipping notification yesterday 8/21. Tracking shows I should have them 8/23, anxious to get them in hand.

I understand many people are upset about the delays but we all knew it was a pre order & it would be some amount of time before we got them. I was happy to order in July with the 20% off deal Latitude was running at them time & wait patiently to save $65, especially in today's world of high cost.

If you had Huntwise you get 20% off all the time.

The 20% off coupon was for all the guys that pre-ordered months before then, but I’m sure a couple guys like you got the promo code other ways… :tearsofjoy:

Guess I didn't realize the earlier pre orders were at 20% off, I just got my code in a promo email from Latitude about running 20% off for the month of July.

My cousin just got his delivered today. His order was the 28th of July.

That may be my mistake, I know they sent an email out to all the people that pre-ordered months ago, and for an apology because they were late they gave them a 20% off coupon code.

I have 2 3D printed hooks that are on my saddle (originally for hanging hawk sticks). I leave the amsteel wrapped just like when the sticks are stacked and hook it over the the hooks. Pull them off and unwind the amsteel and on the tree they go.

This is exactly what they were saying at the Expo on how they designed them

I’ve been scrolling this thread. Where are all the pics of broken tabs? Not seeing any. I’m thinking of ordering a set. The GovX discount might push me over the edge.
I think they’re amazing sticks. As I’ve said in an earlier post on this thread, I’m calling bs on that broken tab post. I also think they’re offered at a pretty good price point too

I actually caved and ordered some a couple of hours ago. The price is pretty reasonable compared to others out there.

Are you going to use a aider???

I have a Hang Free three step aider that I think should work with them.

I don’t think you’ll regret the purchase.
