Looks like no consensus. You have to try it. Order two and return one.

This is how I look at it, both of them are 2-panel saddles/slings but the Recon panels are active and self adjusting, which is a result of the metal plates.I'm an avid reader of this forum, not so much of an avid poster. I've read a lot of what you have had to say about the Recon and appreciate the insight. I don't have anything against the metal on the Recon but the metal free and design of the Method peeked my interest.
I know the Recon is comfortable by reading the time tested reviews that are past the initial release of the sling. The Method also has good reviews on comfort but it makes me wonder how much of that is really just excitement about a new product

Haha...I don't think the wife likes that cash flow model! Although if I order one and don't like it I can return it and try the other.
At this point you may need to take delivery time into account.
Just tape them. I used the camo tape sold everywhere and it is dead silent now.Recon sling! I have two of them need to get rid of the rubber on the plates for noise.
I removed the rubber and used stelth strips on them just in case I bump into them with something works great.Just tape them. I used the camo tape sold everywhere and it is dead silent now.
There are so many good saddles today.
The Eberhart sling comes next week

Having messed with a bunch of DIY clones and a couple of name brands ( Mantis thru JX3) I haven’t found anything as comfortable as the Recon. Everything is subjective of course.
Just because I can’t stop myself from messing with stuff, I added a waist belt and adjustable amsteel bridge. Neither were necessary but like I said. Bottom line I, something significant will have to come along for me to switch from the Recon.

Ok you guys are talking me down from the Method. With the extra cash I might get an OOAL Scout from DanO for my Hawk Helium clones.
But damn I was liking what I was seeing from the Method!
