Lets talk about sweat

Not that I truly believe this is getting any traffic because of the topic any longer... BUT.
For those who do change on stand, what do you generally do with the sweaty ones? I started packing in a freezer bag, but i know guys who just stuff it down tot he bottom of their pack. Thoughts?
The freezer bag should do fine. I'll walk in with just my base layers. I'll cool down at the base of my tree and then slowly climb after I put on my bibs. I then put on the rest of my layers on in the tree. Normally just my jacket.

I do unzip my bibs while climbing and slowly close the zipper when I get cooled down.

Growing up in the panhandle of Fl, this guy knows what it's like down there....Thermocell didn't exist back then either....But we wore fishnet to keep the mosquitoes from being able to reach your skin to bite you.

Don't overheat and sweat with your entries. Wear a light L/S T as your bottom garment on entries and pack your underlayers in your pack and once on stand and your body has cooled down, change out the T for the dry undergarments in your pack. The very best base garments are 200 or 260 weight Icebreaker merino wool as they are made in New Zealand and they make the best merino wool garments in the world. Always best to have dry garments.

Thank you John, you are a huge influence on us Michigan bowhunters.

Swapping out wet for dry is such a great feeling too. Once I started packing in dry layers it was a game changer. That is kinda why I started this thread to see how common it was and if there are any tricks.

Last year I started to flip the idea of changing on-stand on its head. I layed a t-shirt on my back before putting on my baselayer. Then I was able to pull it out from my collar, and all the sweat it soaked up. Worked so good I am putting together a proper pattern to make one out of Merino.
