Lets talk about sweat

I like it!
But...this would be a bit TOO minimalist on Nov 1 in Michigan... :)

Concept is the same though. Freeze on the walk in, and you'll stay warm in the stand. It doesn't matter how cold it gets down here, I will walk in wearing a t shirt. Even if it's 20°. You freeze for the first 5 minutes or so, then you warm up enough to be OK. By the time you climb up and are getting settled, the cold creeps back in. That's when I throw on my layers. At least for my top. Bottoms I just wear what I need to wear. My legs don't really sweat.

Also, antiperspirant can be applied to more than just your underarms. I had a guy who worked in a freezer turn me onto that trick years ago. Him and his coworkers would put it on their feet.

Most people overdress and wear poor materials. I'll try to find the post I made last year about my first cold hunt of the year. Folks told me I wasn't dressed warmly enough. :)

If it’s cold out and I’ve got a long walk I often just hike in my compression shorts/boxers and no shirt.

Man...hahaha. combined with some fishnet and you got quite the look going on there. If I wore that on public im pretty sure hunters would stay a little farther away. Maybe play some cindy Lauper on the way in. Screenshot_20200729-102456_Chrome.jpg

Here it is:

That hunt was about as cold as it gets here. "Warm" I was not that day, but neither was I miserable. I could have sat all day.

Quit fighting the sweat and let it evaporate like it's supposed to. Any sweat you give off is absorbed by your base layers and is held against your body causing you to chill. Fishnets keep your base layers off of your body and allow your sweat to evaporate like nature intended it to. They also add an additional air space (insulation). I wear the fishnet tops every time I head out whether it's 80 degrees or -10 degrees.
Wiggy's (Jerry Wigutow) isn't trendy, he's not an avid hunter and he doesn't make hunting videos. All he does is make the warmest clothing on the planet. The base layers everyone else mentioned are top quality stuff but the fishnets allow the other base layers work like they are supposed to.

Ok, I haven't bought anything in a while so I though I'd give these a whirl. Always nice when I can avoid that cold clammy feeling shortly after I climb up, followed by the cold drying phase that may or may not take you out of the hunt prematurely. I'm always up for being warmer.

I knew you’d be along shortly and you didn’t let me down.

I have my eyes on the fishnet tops and bottoms and the liner jacket. Going to get them before it gets cold.

That lamilite is great stuff!
I've never used the fishnet leggings. I've never had an issue keeping my lower half warm. The Jacket Liner is the single best piece of hunting equipment I own. I wear it under a camo outer layer and incorporate it into my layers as it gets colder out. It's amazing how warm it is for as light as it is. I love it.
Remember when you order it, to ask for the quietest material which might not be a camo pattern, if you don't mind it not being camo. Some of their material is quieter than others. I've sent stuff back to them and had it remade in a quieter material if I think the material they sent me is too loud. Mine is black and I have a Vest Liner too that is a coyote brown. Both are really quiet for a nylon type material.

Got any pics of the fish net close up? Kinda hard to make anything out on the website (no closeups).
