Lets talk about sweat

Some Great Support... good answers ... get in shape the best you can !

I like it!
But...this would be a bit TOO minimalist on Nov 1 in Michigan... :)

I’ve done it down to around 20 degrees here in KY, I’m hot natured!!

Man...hahaha. combined with some fishnet and you got quite the look going on there. If I wore that on public im pretty sure hunters would stay a little farther away. Maybe play some cindy Lauper on the way in. View attachment 31159
This may be the new method to lower hunting pressure :tearsofjoy:

Not that I truly believe this is getting any traffic because of the topic any longer... BUT.
For those who do change on stand, what do you generally do with the sweaty ones? I started packing in a freezer bag, but i know guys who just stuff it down tot he bottom of their pack. Thoughts?

Most here say take your time dont work up sweat heart rate low and the like. Me, if wind aint blowing or raining or snowing amd its calm and 36 and up.when I get outta the truck I got on a pair of shorts. My boots a hat. Has been many many times.i walk in shirtless and shorts and straight commando. Ill bring a change of socks. Usually I'm pushed for time because I gotta milk my cows before I head to the mtn. When we park and get out we haul the mail. Im talking straight up ass in face we rollin. Bikes or feet we hit these mtns at a pace. When i get in a close distance of where I wanna be ill drop my pack and just chill out. Ill open my pack unlace my boots ill drop my shorts put on my drawers and if not overly hot ill go ahead and put on my base layer bottoms. Ill take the shorts and wipe the sweat off my body then start to layer with socks then pants. Wipe sweat off me again couple mins and chill until I'm pretty well ready to move. Ill then put first pair socks and shorts in a bag and stuff it in my pack. Ill close distance to where I wanna be in a very light top layer or even still without a shirt. Ill finish my dress in the tree once i get set been many times I've climbed tree shirtless sat in tree cooled down then dressed.

If its cold and nasty ill just wear a old shirt in and dry off with it then stuff it and socks in the bag.

Where I live u are sweating as soon as u walk out the door to go hunting for sometimes the entire season so I dont bother with any of the sweat prevention....I just sweat and deal with it and try to sit down wind.....but 1 thing 1 always carry on me when out there is a contractor trash bag I can throw all my stuff including bow or gun in to keep outta the rain....take your time and u can fold them to were they take up almost no space.....I bet that would hold some sweaty clothes and also possibly contain the smell

I feel ya man, I grew up hunting PA where it was cool. Now I’m in Louisiana and you just have to embrace the suck sometimes and bring a lot of water and bug spray bc the skeeters are brutal. One thing some old timers did at my hinting camp in PA was spray their feet with antiperspirant so their feet didn’t sweat in boots on the way in.

And yeah, them flies....
