Any pics of carls rappel set up?
I am not Carl but we use nearly identical setup. Here is a video of my setup with my one stick I did a bit ago when someone had asked. I no longer use the 6mm TRC on the stick for the cam cleat, I have gone to Amsteel on that applicatioin. I also use dynaglide 1.8mm for pulldown line now. I also hook that pull down line behind the scaffold knot if there are any limbs or crotches I may encounter when pullling down my rappel line.

@Squirrels is there a reason you went away from the 6mm TRC? I have same setup (rope and harken micro cam cleat).
Stretch in the rope partly is the reason. The Amsteel doensn't strecth, it's lighter, and more compact. I use 7/64" Amsteel with a full bury which creates a core in the otherwise hollow Amsteel. Finished diameter is 3/16" which is within spec in terms of diameter for my cam cleat.

@Squirrels Thanks for the video. I got to see you demo your system on Saturday, so it definitely all makes sense now. The only thing I didn't catch is how do you tie an auto-block with the Beal jammy. Do you have a video or a link to a video so I can practice.

Thanks again

Just Google autoblock. I will try and get a video in the next couple days for you.

Just made 5lbs last night. Will get the ingredients and send your way. Basically, I use Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Red Pepper Flakes, Cayenne Pepper and just a pinch of brown Sugar. I also do patties not links...
Heres some of the pork sausage my wife canned this year.

Decided to make chorizo from the meateater cookbook. It's marinating in the fridge right now. Will grind up caseless sausage tomorrow.

Well I am late to the “live” thread but here are some pics I took. Since I’m apparently better at taking cell phone pics than killing pigs. Lol

Almost got the truck stuck but made it out OK, even with my 4WD not working.

Had a great time as usual. Looking forward to next year.
