I was hoping to hunt this weekend but the wife and oldest kidnaren't feeling good so I'm on babysitting detail....next weekend I hope to get sat and sun...last weekend of deer hunting season for this season

No longer live, but a slightly thawed out recap:

All I got today was really cold. Like my face muscles stopped working correctly and started cramping up cold. I felt like I did pretty much everything right except for not having good enough boots and clothes to manage the wind, I walked in with a good wind direction, made no noise, there was deer poop all over the place and I'd seen a dozen deer there a week ago but I didn't see a darn thing except people, three other hunters and a dog walker, none of them were within 200 yards of me, but in three different directions.

My season may be over, I could go again next Saturday but forecast is looking similar to today and my heart's not in it at the moment. Likely that will change when my core body temp comes back up to normal, we shall see.
 
Back at it today. Windy (swirling) but not as cold as Saturday, we shall see...


7pm edit: saw 3 doe at about 300 yard, right in the area I was told might be a good spot to sit, but my stubborn self though I knew better lol oh well. Perhaps I'll sit over there on saturday

Yeah last day of the season here in Pennsylvania for me and those winds are keeping me inside. Good luck to all braving this wind

Supposed to sit on ground. Needed to get up a couple feet to see in briars. Last hunt for me. Low percentage but the weather is great.
