LIVE from the saddle 2023

Didn’t hunt Saturday had honey do stuff to do plus I was bushed. I went to church Sunday morning and was fully up and ready to hunt by 2pm yesterday. Two does came in. Had a shooter go through on the cam at 10:30 that morning.

Not in my saddle today but too pretty of a picture to not post it. So far I’ve only had one doe cross and a hog which caught a bullet. That is the 7th hog I’ve shot this year.

Wasn’t sure where to post this so I thought here might be good.

Had my first “oh crap” moment in a few years of mobile hunting.

As I climbing onto my stand (while Tethrd in) I reached down to tighter the bottom cam strap of my stand. No clue how but my knee hit the release for the first cam strap. My stand started falling away from the tree and it took my a second to realize why. No big deal as I had the second strap on. Once I hang my stand I tether in before stepping onto my stand. I leave my second cam buckle loose but there to catch the stand. Then I toe cam the top one. Then reach down and cinch the bottom strap tight.

Anyways not the end of the world but this is why secondary redundant safety needs to be in your system as well.

Thank you Lord for coming through with the safety I pray for.
