I can't get a pic cause I just can't.....but the airshow is going on 20-30 miles north and the blue angles keep flying over my head
I saw them on base in Hawaii earlier this year. That was a cool show. I'm guessing it shook up the wildlife around you... things were LOUD.

Tickled the rattle sack and a few minutes later two basket racks came in right downwind of me, then I saw him: his dad had to have been a longhorn bull. Just a wide antlered, full bodied slob. He hung up around 40 then grunted away a button buck behind him, then just stood there (couldn’t catch my wind) for several minutes while my hand froze on my bow riser, then kinda cautiously took a detour. Can’t see him or hear him anymore but he didn’t spook so he could be right behind me still. Baskets fed around me then ambled off. I’m barely moving a muscle. Anxiety is growing.

It is nice, except when you're getting soaked...and this is the least it's rained all weekend!

At least the victory cigar last night was dry.

Finally out, jumped a couple still hunting and scouting. Lots of trails, fresh droppings, and some actual deer got me up a tree. I didn't see the ones I bumped, the wind was in my favor but they heard me from the other side of a small hill. So I climbed to see if some other deer come by too

Edit: added some photos and better punctuation.

Didn't end up seeing any deer, but it felt good to be in the sadle again. Definitely going to get a different ROS, these hawks are killing me.

What in tarnation!? That’s awesome. Are they aggressive?
They'll tend to run away from a human as a first reaction. Unless cornered. Like most wild animals. I personally wouldn't want to test the theory, though.

All I can say is that squirrels no longer hold the title for loudest critter in the forest. This guy gave zero ****s about any noise he was making. He hung around the area for 10-15 minutes and eventually made his way up a hill and away from me.

Got my third stick set when a really nice buck was staring at me at the edge of this bench. He saw me and ran back up.
Wind is absolutely brutal right now. We have a really strong 14mph NW wind which I really hoped would over power the thermals. Not a chance. There's a brutal seesaw effect going. Goes uphill into the bedding then back down into me again.
I couldnt possibly think of harder whitetail hunting anywhere than this public I hunt, but that's why theres so many mature bucks on it
