Never track a deer without my HangTime shirt, thanks to @Jefferson10940.
Entry wound in the third picture down. About 14 yds, just the slightest quartering-to. Complete pass through with mule kick, crashed in less than 100 yds.
She weighed about 180 on the hoof, about 150 without her guts.
Felt amazing to have her read the script on a short hunt. Like maybe I’ve figured a thing out in over a decade of hunting.
Super thankful for her and I’m sure there are recipes to be posted.
Now I can relax a little and hunt a buck!

Edit: check me out looking for my arrah. Of course you can’t kill deer in flannel…

I’m fine, and the smoke pole seems good, but definitely need to shoot and verify it’s still sighted in

Hunted a new area yesterday that i had scouted last Tuesday. Had it all figured out. Guaranteed kill. You see how this is going.

Had a doe and fawn to the west 65yds. Had a doe to the north 45yds. Had a doe to the east 30yds. I had humble pie for supper. I was in the neighborhood, but wrong house. With my setup, i need to be in the kitchen of the correct house.

I cant shoot another buck so im hunting does for freezer.

Same area today but 60yds north. Fingers crossed and good luck to everyone! Be safe
