Lonewolf Custom's Ambush

Only one version of the Ambush. It’s sightly smaller than the original Assassin. They’ll be putting out a ‘sling’ at the beginning of the new year. More of a waist belt meant for leaning only. No material to sit in.
 
I don't know how true this is but I heard that Todd Pringnitz was working with Lone Wolf Custom Gear on the casting for the Ambush. When Todd passed away I heard they decided to do away with the casting and do the water jet process instead. So that's why there is a different design in the platform. I could be wrong on this though.

This is exactly correct.
 
I'd say the water jet process would be lighter because they will be able to use less material. The cast they have to beef it up a little.

I priced out some 7075 aircraft aluminum yesterday for 18X14X3/4 . It was $168 for the plate..
Then once you figure the cost of water jetting, other components, and your time it's probably better to order one
 
Yeah, I'm not sure how much it costs for the water jet process but if I had to guess you would be above the $279.99 they have it listed for when you factor everything in.
 
This late in the season I will wait to see if they have things that need to be fixed from first run - and to see who is coming out with what. With Saddle Hunting growing so much right not, i am sure we will see a lot of new toys after New Years and as the shows season starts.

With people wanting a little larger platform I think if tethrd or out on a limb doesn't come out with a larger one they will be dropping the ball like lonewolf has at getting there's out. Just my opinion.
