Hello all,

I am slowly assembling gear for saddle hunting and now am onto the phase of finding a pack that would work best with 4 beast mini sticks and a predator XL platform.

I watched a video from Mark Dohring about the Eberlestock X2 and it looked nice how he had it set up...but in the comments someone inquired about mini sticks and he thought that the config wouldn't work as well / at all when using mini sticks...

SO...that led me to post on here to see what others have come up with. I would like to find a pack that I can strap the sticks and platform too. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

trophyline cays or badland eastern day pack or timber pack. Both have external straps for a platform or stick

Thanks for the reply...the Trophyline CAYS pack looks really nice! One complaint I saw on YT was that it was noisy...which isn't the worst thing in the world.

Anyone have any feedback on that pack and how it performs?

I have tried several packs in the past year and a half. I have come back to the X2 pack. I use XOP sticks and XOP edge platform.
I have used this pack with Beast sticks, Hawks, Shikars, Mission platform, Assassin platform, Ridge Runner platform.
You can configure your gear in several ways. I prefer the sticks locked on with the wings and then the platform held in the middle. Super easy and balanced.

I use an eberlestock h31 bandit. My predator platform sits under/ in the front flap and my sticks get strapped on the outside. I’m using micro c1 sticks from timber ninja. It works great for me, but packs are largely a matter of personal preference.

Everytime I see the sticks packed like that I worry about a backwards fall.

I have the CAYS 2.0 and it’s no noisy at all. I heard the original was and they fixed that with the 2.0. I run the EDP and the Trophyline doubles and it’s awesome.

Thanks for the reply...and now that I went back to the video you are correct. The review was on the version 1.0

Thanks for the clarification I wound up pulling the trigger on that pack

I saw this pack over the weekend at the Harrisburg outdoor show. It's currently a prototype due out this Aug from Code of Silence. In my opinion it's a perfect design for saddle hunting and is made of a durable and silent wool blend. The platform in the pocket is a Trophyline ONYX so it will fit a Predator XL no problem and there are attachments on the side for sticks. Their camo clothing is excellent as well. I picked up a hoodie.

To be honest i used the fix platform and beast minis most of this past season and i bought the striker xop pack and i loved it. The fix and knee pads fiy inside the bag perfectly and my sticks strap right to the bag easily and everything is light and tight.
check it out its a great pack for $69

I just picked up the MR pop up 28 and sold the X2. Now let me say, there was nothing wrong with the X2. It is a great pack. I’ll attach a pick of what I did with the predator XL platform and moded lone wolf sticks. I have the predator platform pack zip tied to the pack here so it always stayed attached and it made it really nice with the platform. The only thing for me was I did not need all the pockets with the X2. Other than that I just wanted to try something else and heard great things about the MR 28 so going to give it a good run this next season. For the little I have messed with the 28 it is amazing. I am running the Onyx platform and gen 3 one sticks with it and it packs great.

As others have said there are multiple threads. But to answer, I picked up a kuiu venture 2300 this season and absolutely love it. If you’re not meat hauling it fits the bill for everything I’m looking for.

Wait for the new Cruzr pack if you can.
