LW platform

He was 160 something. I don't remember exactly. I killed him out of a Summit climber a couple years before I discovered saddle hunting. Definitely a stud though...I've never seen one in the woods bigger.

Where did you get him?

Indiana near the Ohio border on a 5 acre piece of ground the second week of November.

My brother and I went up from Florida to hunt with a friend of ours. Halfway through the week after not seeing much, our friend showed us this small piece of woods that was surrounded by hundreds of acres of corn on 3 sides. It certainly didn't look like much compared to all the amazing ground in the area.

We got permission from the land owner and walked the lot. We found a 1 acre thorn thicket/bedding area that had a couple really large scrapes around the edges. We also found an amazing 20' cliff that was almost impassable for the length of the 5 acre wood lot except for two textbook saddles. I setup on the best looking saddle and my brother was 150 yards away near the scrapes and thicket.

It was mid-30s and raining. Miserably cold. After not seeing anything for several hours I texted my brother about an hour before the end of legal shooting light and told him I was getting down. I was depressed, wet and freezing. He convinced me to stick it out. Not 5 minutes later a 2 yo 9 point, probably 110 inches or so, comes out of the thicket chasing a doe right under my brother's stand heading straight to me. He chased her around for several minutes but he wasn't what we were looking for. I hear a twig snap coming up the saddle, look to my right and the biggest deer I've ever seen in my life is walking right up the saddle, like he read the script. He's walking stiff legged with the hair on his back all bristled up. He's looking to fight for that doe. He walks 10 yard to my right and I double lunged him. The whole encounter lasted less than 45 seconds.

After I calmed down from the shakes I texted my brother that I "just shot a monster". He didn't believe me - said "I saw that 9 pointer...he was far from a monster." I told him to get down and help me look. I knew the shot was good and could tell the buck was seriously hurt as he ran off. He ran about 60-70 yards right into the thicket and died.

We were both dumb founded that this huge buck was laying there. Growing up and hunting almost exclusively in Florida and southern Alabama It was easily the biggest deer anyone we knew had ever killed. And it came off a crappy looking 5 acre piece of unwanted ground!

Great buck. I hope you get him. Is your season over? If so, next season he's going to be a true giant.

Season ends on the 15th so I'll remain hopeful. I almost think that I'll have to be in the tree a full two hours before light so I don't accidentally spook him. I think he was right outside the house the other night around 9pm hidden in the trees.

That's a good one for sure! How do you like that promos ultra35?

The night vision is pretty good but the daytime quality kind sucks. If you don't have it pointed away from the sun at the right angle it tends to pixelat. You want a bad as came though I'll sell you this one.

You'll have to pay shipping though.

If you're including multiple rolls of 35mm film...you got a deal!
Where are you going to process them???

I guess I'll just a build a dark room. PLUS having a dark room would allow me to branch out into other hobbies - a peeping tom, a stalker, an exhibitionist and a conspiracy theorist. An on-site dark room is really a prerequisite.

If by load testing you mean hunted from it and it didn't kill me, then yes, I've load tested it multiple times.

Seriously though, no. And attaching it to my LW stick probably wasn't all that safe.
