I really hate to say this, but I don't know if I trust his reply or not. He has been at this game for a LONG time and knows how to extinguish a situation. When I got one of the first ambushes and every hole was off center, etc.. It seriously made me doubt his QC and testing.

I think you are absolutely correct. That pivot point being that far forward probably puts a lot of pressure on that post right there.

The platform in the photos is mine, as well as the typed response from Andrae. The posts that were drilled off-center were revised with another post that was also defective. The material in the front portion of the post has already been addressed and if you look at the current ambush's that are produced the material went from less than 1/4" thick, to over 1/2" thick. The current ambush's are tested with 1700 lbs static weight and do not fail until over 1800.

Andrae did not try and extinguish the situation on the phone, he was trying to understand in what way I used the platform that compromised it. If I had the ambush's that are sold right now I would not have encountered that issue.

He also called me the same day I posted this, and got a post in the mail for me the same day.

I DID NOT post that photo to start a train of bashing or questioning their products. How many threads in 2019 did we see of Tethrd's predator snapping? Substantially more than LWCG. Let's give them some credit and let them do something about it.
 
I would also like to add that ONLY 70 total platforms were created with this post. Andrae's plan is to email these individuals in the upcoming days, make them aware of the issue, and send a replacement assuming they still have the platform.

I didn't realize that was so personal to you. I did not intend to offend. I am just saying he has had a few QC issues in the past products he has produced. I have not seen any of the new platforms as I replaced my post almost immediately. I will go check mine to see how much material is there.

Do you happen to have a comparison picture of the old and new posts?

That certainly sounds like an issue that was discovered some time back so they made the change. Those emails should had went out when that issue was discovered. Not now that this issue is being brought out into the open. We know of 2. How many more have broke that were swept under the carpet? As a consumer.. that is what worries me.

You have done nothing personally to me. But my photos were used out of context to cause an uproar on a separate site for individuals who want to hate on a company just because it's Tuesday afternoon and we're bored.

I stated on the original post on Facebook; my intention is not to start a thread of questioning product and tinfoil hat theories, I was just having trouble reaching LWCG as they're fulfilling orders preseason and I wanted a replacement asap as I am hunting this weekend.

You'll know if you have the post that is defective. The material right behind the leveling bolt is less than a pencil thick.

It's much easier to make a post with a damaged product and complain (the same thing I resorted to ). And if you think Saddle hunters of all people; the biggest complainers I've ever seen-- would refrain from posting on saddlehunter.com and Facebook lighting up everyone they can to alert them of a damaged platform...You and I both know that's a farce. There would be no hiding.

You also aren't using an Ambush platform, so I do not understand why as a consumer that would bother you. There are 20+ pages of Tethrd predators being broken in 2019 on this site. I think before you become so offended to be worried about your safety as a consumer you need to look at the alternatives.

Every platform/ ladder/ stick has had defects/ compromised products that have failed. That does not mean the product or company should be blasted.

Give them time to take care of the problem and stop assuming the worst because it's Tuesday and you're bored.

I guess Andrea sweet talked you. Seems odd you are defending them so vehemently when you quibble about every little perceived problem you have with a product.

I have had several LWCG products actually. A 1.0 I sent back. Compact sticks I sent back. An Ambush I sent back because it looked like Mickey Mouse drilled the holes. I had a second Ambush I sold because of the platform flex. I actually had a third on order but I canceled it along with another set of compact sticks and a .5. I currently have a 1.0 that also has a bit of flex so that is where my concern lies. I don’t want that snapping off leaving me dangle from my harness with no cell phone service. That’s the last thing I need.

Also, I have had plenty of defective products that no one here has herd about. I will go to the company directly and see how they handle it. If that is not satisfactory. Then the social media jab.

How many people you see trying to use a $30 tree seat as a platform? They are all pissing and moaning the predator and ridge runner are outrageously priced. There are even more sketchy things on FB. Some nut made an entire saddle out of 550 cord...

Yes, Andrae must have sweet-talked me. How else could I come to rational conclusions? I just need to be sweet-talked by a man of course.

Well, they are over 8,000 sales. 90% of their sku's are above $200. So unless they're doing 90% of their business on overpriced clothing and tape that the hunting community is apparently too cheap to afford, I'd comfortably assume anywhere from 300-600 platforms sold.

You alone purchased 3 platforms, although you canceled one. So you purchased 3, I purchased 2, we have another 3-5 people in this thread that have purchased a platform. You're looking at 10 platforms already with less than 8 people? I think you are severely underestimating how many were sold.

And I believe you said you weigh around 260 at some point in another thread? If I am remembering incorrectly; my mistake, but at that weight, you're going to feel uncomfortable in 95% of stands on the market. I want to make it clear I'm not making fun of your weight, you could be 5% bodyfat for all I know. But when you're being held with 4-9 lbs of metal on a tree there is only so much that can be supported.

I'm also not here to stand up for anyone, I'm here to give context to the photos I provided on a different site.

Next half hour there will be a post made on mobile hunters United it will have some photos of the Centre post so you can identify if you have the proper one .It seems that 70 centre post were made with a prototype program that was not purged from the system. We have identified the individuals that were sent the wrong parts we will be contacted them via email by tommarrow. replacements parts will be shipped out immediately. Sorry about the inconvenience."

This whole thing is funny to me because six months ago he (Andrae) told me he knew all the posts were bad from the original run and he sent me a replacement post way back then so anyone sticking up for Lwcg now is a fool because they knew of this problem six months ago and didn’t take care of it when they should have now it is coming back to bite them... I still have the original piece of **** post from the original first run Ambushs sitting here.... Some people need to wake up... lmfao
