I am a saddle hunter/ Treestand hunter ...Maybe I shouldn’t say Treestand on here LOL.
 
Can some one with machining experience explain how the 0.5 can weigh ~1 lb heavier than the Ambush? I weighed my Ambush before selling it and it came in at 4.65 lb. Which is on point with the website. The 0.5 is saying 5.7 lbs. There's a ton of added metal. What am I missing here?

The ambush is only supported by the thickness of the platform and the stand is supported by the cables. So I believe you wouldn’t have to make the platform as thick as the ambush platform.That’s the best thing I can come up with LOL and I think they put some fairy dust on it. :wink:
 
I don’t care what that thing costs as soon as someone other than the people selling it tell me it weighs 5.7 lbs or close to it I’m getting one, I hunt in some remote country and having a stand that light for super cold days when it’s time to get out the IWOM is huge for me. I got an email today from Brenda at LWCG, she said end of July or beginning of August they should be shipping.
