i havent been on these forums in quite sometime...but a long time ago there was a thread for climbing stick steps similar to the "thai fighter" steps but they predate them.....anyone have a clue what im talking about and can share a link?

I’ve been to Thailand a few times, really nice people. You would think they would be grumpy because they don’t have a deer season. They probably don’t have much use for saddles and steps. Lol

wow i have never been proven wrong so hardcore before! I love it lol.
in all seriousness I think Eastern Woods Outfitters had an ultimate one stick that may be what you’re looking for. I’ve heard it referred to as a tie fighter looked thing.

George probably said "hey that looks like a tie"....and then he or someone else came up with what tie stood for (what you quoted). Keeps people from asking "how did they know what bowties looked like?"

I’ve always wondered how they came up with X wing when their alphabet looks nothing like the English alphabet.

I have some steps that I had waterjet out of 1in thick aluminum plate and I believe that is what the OP is referring to. If you review my posts you may find what you're looking for... I still have some, if interested we can discuss in PM.

That's it. The design is better setup to weld the steps on 1in sq. alum tube as the tolerance on the alum tube isn't overly 'tight', but it works also with a bolt and my one sticks that use those are among my favorite setups. Those teeth bite the tree very well even though there are only two teeth.
