I’m with @dalton916 if you’ve never had a kidney stone I’m not sure you really know what pain is. I’ve had 2 and that was by far some of the worst pain I’ve ever experienced next to having 35% of my body second degree burned. That’s the kind of pain morphine won’t touch.
This was my most referenced movie/tv character. Every time I introduced myself, I would get "oh like from friends" Great show, good actor.
So I just had kidney stones 3 days ago. From someone who had internal bleeding before. I can confirm this. Its like someone stabbing you with a serrated blade over and over. This was the first time in my life I had morphine, and ok I get it. It was amazing how all the pain went away and I was already thinking "I hope they give me another shot of morphine before this one wear out."
Then they sent me home with 3 prescription of painkillers. 2 type of extra strength ibuprofens for 30 days and 10 days of Oxycodone. Thank god the stone passed within 1-2 days. But now I have some minor lower back pain due to the stress on my body. I will live with the pain. Not touching another pill.
