Molle Pouches/bags for Packs

This thread has me considering using the eberlstock m1 frame pack I picked up used last year and adding some simple molle pouches/bags to add to the molle panel that was included. The thing is, I don’t think it’s worth my time to try and sew my own, but I also don’t think it’s worth my money to pay $50 per pouch. Id be up to the price of a nice bag for only a few pouches at that cost. I haven’t actually had hands on with any of these pouches so I’m wondering if the zipper or bag quality is that noticeable or different from one bag/pouch to the next.

What would you recommend for molle bags/pouches for the best quality and cost balance?

Include links or pictures of your pouches for extra kudos.

Any Army/Navy surplus store will have molle pouches in every size and color for relatively cheap. I use a flashlight pouch to hold my throwball setup and a mag pouch to hold my knife, flashlight, lightsticks, compression bandage, etc.

<insert joke about hands on my pouch>
What price pouches/bags are you wanting to compare to the $50 pouches?

Buying used online or Mil surplus is probably going to yield best cost/quality balance. Bushcraft USA, Rokslide and various FB classified groups are my go to.

I’m not on any those forums but used might be a good option. Have you seen much difference in quality in the $50+ bags?

I’m debating on something like this to go with the dagger pack. That way I could drop the frame somewhere like @kyler1945 says, and then bring either the multi pack or the dagger to the tree. Oh no, I see myself slipping down the pack rabbit hole quickly.4A7B80A4-A790-4CF0-B76C-D8210161FF6F.jpeg

Hmm...are you OCD about color pattern matching? Its ok if you are, I am with certain things. Is there something you dont like about the Batwing Pouch that are meant to go with the frame?

I have the smaller version of this and the quality is actually really good and the material was good too.

Condor Tacitical have quality items too

I was just looking at the bat wings again and they look sweet, my only beef is the frame I have is the M1 which doesn’t have the zipper that attaches the batwings to the F1 frame. I’m trying to see if I could still attach them to the molle on the M1 frame. This would be taking it on a different path though.

And no I don’t care about matching or camo.

Those pouches don’t look bad. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sure there's less expensive stuff.

But I'm converting to the Exo frame. And the JX3 main bag, pouches, etc. all pair really well with it. And they are very quiet - they're faced with that microsuede stuff on a lot of the surfaces. The exo bag wouldn't bother me noise wise, but it isn't a bag meant to be gone into while in a tree- it's gonna be a noise maker. The hybrid stuff is all quiet and right sized.

If money were the issue, I'd sew up fleece bags for everything, with shock cord drawstrings. I made several myself and use them often.

Are you saying you’re converting to a singular primary pack that is a external frame? Is that what exo means?

So the Batwings does have molle that you can attach the frame to, you dont need the zippers. But you do need webbing and buckles

Yes. I've been using the Hybrid, Popup 28, and Kifaru, for various purposes.

Without going into too much detail, I'm selling the popup and kifaru setups.

I'll have the single frame pack (Exo K3). For camping, western hunts, and overnight backcountry whitetail hunts, I'll use the bag that came with it (Their 4800 size). For standard whitetail hunting when I'm not using the hybrid, I'll use the JX3 pack system with the Exo K3 frame. And when I'm using the hybrid, I've retrofitted it with Exo harness and belt.

This allows me to have a single frame pack instead of two like before. The Exo K3 is great, and is more comfortable to carry than either the Popup or the Kifaru. The popup is a bit more compact. And the Kifaru is a bit more rugged. The K3 is my goldilocks I reckon...

Yes. It comes down to what material, hardware and country of origin you prefer.

American made cordura with YKK zippers seem to be most expensive. You can try some pouches out using Amazon prime if you have it.

This is what I rigged up after getting a molle /panel vest thingamajig with a extremely comfortable waist belt it has a mesh pouch built in the inner side that I put my kill kit into and it’s not noticeable at all I added a panel bag as you can see it fits everything I need for a days hunt and easily accessible and once set up I hang it on a hook as it has a built in grab handle everything conforms to my back and handles real well going they the woods this winter after deer season I’m gonna build up one from scratch with a slightly stiffer frame5BDF6FE9-34C9-41E4-BC0B-042C8C257FC1.jpeg624AE6D7-CE42-462B-BEB4-315CA10D80AA.jpeg

I responded to one of your posts on another thread but I didn’t realize that the M1 didn’t have zippers. They’re expensive, but the accessory pouches from Eberlestock are of good quality and easy to attach and detach to Molle
