Nice. Good idea. Mine is a Scentlok backpack, Recon saddle, ring of 7 Pioneer steps on an OCB. Knee pads, 3 hook HME gear hanger, bow pull up rope, and my 2TC ropes, and of course a Thermacell. I'll weigh it later. It's out in the truck.

Eberlestock Dagger with a large pouch.

This is what I will be running along with a Dryad Retro Kit attached to my safety harness.
I might scale down and remove the ROS or just run 2 steps. Also might not use the Hawk one stick and one stick with the platform.

40 fts of Canyon IV SRT setup in the main compartment.

In pouch are grunt call, small ER/Kill kit, rangefinder, snack, and spare stuff. You cant see the knee pad stuffed between pouch and pack

Stuff in my pockets knife, release, flashlight, and phone.

Weight as seen is 8 lbs.

I can add jacket if needed.

Nice guys, I have been working on this again this year. I cut down Six (prob only take four) 17" Shickars down to 12". Have a two sets ring of steps a Cranford set and a Ameristep set. Depending on weight I will decide which one. Using a Dryad for the first time this year, I will put all together and take a pic and weigh it. No platform for Scoutscout hunt trips.

Sweet rigs. I want to sell my 17 inch doubles so i can get 14’s. I think that would be one sweet setup especially early season

What size sticks are those?

Man would love to carry light to like you guys but i always find my self to deep and many lessons learned. How many miles do you guys normally scout? I always track mine. Average around the 5 miles. Last few days has been in the 7 or higher. Some things are a must if I'm going out. Because of those moments coming back in the dark never know what's gonna happen. Those small trails are easy going in but coming back can lead to an entire maze of dead ends. And I'm not talking about the main trails. So I use diy reflectors to get me out. Gamechanger compared to my onyx or hand held GPS.

My scout rig.

On the hunter as of now Mid season- Midi pant, Fanatic Hoodie, Hat, darn tuff sock, Cabelas rush creek hike boots with firstlite Brambbler gaiters. Bow/arrow, release and finally back pack with gun on the waist belt

In the pack

Must have Garmin GPS, back up battery, ribbons/tacs, knife, 2 headlamps, sweater, saddle, mini tree saw, Pedialite, protein bar, wallet, tags, couple feet of toilet paper, gloves, 2 lwcg doubles, 3 step aider.

This is pretty much how i have it minus the tree stand. I'll have 2 sticks between the meat hauler frame. 2 sticks of the doubles can get my in the 14- 15 feet ready hunt. I saddle with the sticks.

What platform are you using? Also why not use the tracks feature on onyx? It’s honestly the best this I’ve found to use

No platform. Just using the sticks as the platform. Crazy enough I can lean on them or put my knees on them for sometime.

I use the track feature on the onyx it also allows me to track the miles I walk. It'll work from time to time but to pin point me in a hole how i got to this thick area to that thick area i will not trust it. To many time it has failed me. The stuff that I bust thru is either a 1 way or your going for a ride in the thicket. One small off course is a nightmare with onyx. Put myself in those situations to much especially in the dark. It gets pretty frustrating if you know what I mean.
