Dependent on the amount of speed loss that you're willing to sacrifice, silencing options are available. I'm running a recurve with two sets of string silencers (one set at the quarter points and one at the tertiary points) on a 8125 string (16 strand, I think) with about an 11 gpp arrow, and it's a whisper!

The stalker I am shooting now I just recently put a new string on. It's a 14 strand TS1 string and I added cat whiskers roughly between the 1/4 and 1/3 points. Arrows are 11gpp and that setup is really quiet to my ears.

Can you post a video from the side of you shooting it? I’m curious what whisper sounds like and means to others. My bow is pretty quiet but I may try to silence it some more.

I'll have to blow the dust off it and make sure I didn't get weak in my old age lol. Gimme a few days, but I'll get it done!

I finally did that video clip and took some pics of the bow. Probably should've set the target a little bit further for less impact noise interference, but...
