New from Indiana. one stick?

It’s the Trophyline wingman. I put the platform on the bottom I just like it better that way. Added the double step and standoffs from EWO. Cam cleat and amsteel to attach it to the tree and then made a 2 step amsteel aider.

Pricier than other options.

It’s a lot cheaper to go with the scout from OOAL on a one stick.

When i first started looking at one stick i got the sticker shock on the cost of them however the more i look into it i have not found much "cheaper" options

I was able to get into my first one-stick relatively cheap. I cut down a Lone Wolf stick (the long ones with 3 steps) to 15”, put a EWO double step on the bottom, cable aider, and a scout on the top.

The last one I built was a Beast Stick with a scout on the bottom, cam cleat, ultimaider 3 step aider, and the pack n play for the aider.

If I had to guess, I’d say I have nearly $300 in it.
Do I like it better than the “cheap” stick I built when I first started? Yes. However, they both get me up the tree and allow me to hunt.

Thats about what i have found.. $300 is about average for a ready to use one stick which is about what a ewo ultimate one stick cost

I think I still have some of the cut offs from a set of LW sticks. They would be 12-15”. If you’re interested in building one yourself, I’d send you one if I can find it in my shop.

I also was a Summit Climber guy. Now I am practicing with a Ultimate One Stick with rappel, and SRT climbing. Both options are are working good for me.

Welcome from PA! I came from a viper too and I never looked back. It can be an investment to get started for sure in the saddle game. Keep an eye on the classifieds and try as many methods as you can like @Hall17 said. I have an ultimate 1 stick with slanted scout, WE steps, OG Lone Wolfs, Hawk Helium minis, and Skeletors. I plan to learn 2 tether climbing but pretty sure Ill stick to my 1 stick mostly with occasional use of the Skeletors. I haven't gotten rid of much yet because I like options and also have 2 boys who will be hunting in a few years. Good luck and enjoy the journey.
