New to the world of saddle hunting, don't have one yet but I'm constantly watching videos & reading on here. You guys amaze me with what you do in a tree. My 2 biggest things are how do deal with cold weather & how do you go to the bathroom (#2) Haha. I'm here to learn.

Welcome from coastal NC!! And we all have that same problem and nobody has addressed it yet so maybe you can help us out and figure that one out!!!! LOL

Well, I never dropped a duece out a treestand, always got down and moved away a bit, I do the same with a saddle. The cold is dealt with the same way I would in a stand as well. Only thing that is "interesting" is adding a top layer.

Welcome from New York! Being a newbie myself, I can say you're definitely in the right place!

Welcome from Maryland!! Why don’t you figure out the deuce ‘ we’ll name it after you. Don’t hit your climbing method......

Hahahhaha. This bathroom issue really has me concerned, there's been quite a few times that i barely made it running down a simple ladder stand. Now i gotta worry about a 20 minute decent from a setup.

Sounds like rappelling is your best option :)

Welcome from Virginia. If you're using sticks or steps climbing down only takes a minute once you're all set-up. Simply hook up your lineman's belt, disconnect your bridge and climb down. Doesn't take much longer than disconnecting your safety harness in a tree stand. And it's WAY faster than getting down with a climber stand.

Thanks fellas, I'm really interested in rappelling, I gotta figure out what equipment i need.
