New Gear for 2023, Go!

You make those?
No sir... ain't got time fo-all-dat. They came from a guy in Oregon on Etsy. I can post his info if you're interested. They are brilliantly made and feel like butter on my feet. Wore them around the yard and out into the woods yesterday and I can't believe how quiet they are. I mean, I always thought there was something wrong with me in terms of not being able to walk quietly through the woods. Turns out footwear does in fact have something to do with it.

Walking the woods and mama not beating you for shoes on the white ottoman? There’d be grief my way.

I highly recommend the Moccasins Canada moose hide soled boots. Mine are awesome, they aren’t cheap though. This is the brand that the Hunt Primitive dude recommends.

You’d only wear em through a swamp down here once or twice though because that leather would end up super rough and hard from water log

Anyone got shipping info from hunt arsenal yet…waiting patiently…excitedly…

Kuiu dropped some new whitetail stuff. Soft shell system thats really similar to the FL catalyst from what I can tell. Called the encounter series.

Looks like sitka is going to offer more whitetail stuff in subalpine too. The email I got showed the stratus pant and the Fanatic hoodie.

That entire Encounter line is a huge yawn. Completely worthless

I just took a look at the Sitka stuff in subalpine. Just purchased my first Sitka items a few seasons ago (Stratus) - and I gotta say - since the deer apparently see things in non-color - I don’t really see any advantage over the EVII. If you can imagine (or put a filter on it) - they essentially look the same in monochrome, grayscale, or black and white. For those that already own these items, the only appeal would be to the human eyes and pocketbooks.

Looks like the discontinued fanatic lite series?
Also…No bibs = no go for me.
I like they're going the no bib route. I can't wear bibs. But you can wear the Stratus line, that's nearly the same weight and be infinitely more versatile than those clothes. No wind resistance of any kind is useless. Even on a 60° day you can get some chilly winds, and the Stratus isn't too heavy for that temp and it'll block those winds.

Thats not really how your supposed to use the click. You would very quickly move to the click, then from the click I start slow, consistent pressure. Essentially me getting to the click is like taking the gun off safety- it's what starts my shot activation, not a signal that its about to break

You don't have to have target panic to have issues with preload. I've never had issues just slapping a thumb button. But I have had issues starting with inconsistent pressure which leads to in consistent shots.
This is how I understand to work as well.

I'm loving it so far. Probably the best I've ever shot and the most consistent shot timing I've ever had. I'm extremely confident in my ability to execute with it this season. Took a week or so to get comfortable but since then it has been money. I'm liable to buy like 2 more of them in the future just to have backups/spares in case they ever stop making them lol

Not for saddle hunting but a new adjustable shooting rail

A short newspaper article where I heard of it:
