New Gear release 2021

Not trying to be argumentative at all, just trying to figure out what a "climbing platform" is. Is it like a LWHC design or one that you can no-stick climb with?
It would be similar to how saddle hunters are using using the top portion of the Lone Wolf hand climber to climb the tree then use it also as their platform.

I would like to see a platform that wraps the tree more, so you can get ROS close to the tree. With a few steps added you would get the best of both worlds. I do think Eberhardt is right about platforms making you too far out from the tree. Probally a discussion for it's own thread.

An oversized monarch?
It's not personal, it's ubiquitous.

Tethrd climbing sticks. 13 pages, 250 posts, over 5 months.
Cruzr platform.
Trophyline platform.
  • Beast sticks.
  • Lone Wolf Custom Gear 1.0 Stand.
  • Lone Wolf Custom Gear climbing sticks.
  • The ATA show.....
This isn't a new approach due to the pandemic, or targeting specific age groups; it's marketing. It works, and the internet has accelerated that process by making it more accessible in mainstream and visible to the masses. It really is quite interesting to observe how some are the players and others are repeatedly played like marionette's.....

I don’t disagree that it’s happening, or that these strategies are effective in some circles.

Generating interest and generating sales don’t always go hand in hand though.

Like I said, the lame tease partials only piss me off. I’d rather companies just do it how I said.

While I may participate in gear discussion on this forum, and therefore may be a pawn in the greater marketing hype machine, I’m clearly not the only one who has a negative reaction to some of the tactics.

I spend my money on what I think meets my needs/wants and I’m not brand loyal, so the product most often has more to do with a sale to me than the advertising. I’m also not a novelty amongst consumers in that regards.

Now......where did I put my Tethrd ball cap? It’s really the best ball cap you can buy!

This seems to be an obvious progression as @Bwhana has suggested. Small platform with attached pedals/ steps, must be cost prohibitive as there is not an existing sand cast mold..

As far as mktng- these small companies must hope for announcements to generate anticipation / " buzz". While also wanting some to loathe the product( they are the loudest- check out a LWCG thread on any forum) and hopefully keep the wheels of innovation cranking/ push status quo.
Unfortuately, me too products lead to indifference. Not an ideal outcome.
So get as many as possible to love or hate it.
I digress - I'm an MBA drop out ;P

Another platform...Really!!! Was hoping for a climbing platform. I’m tired of seeing all these being made. Someone break the mold please and make something other than sticks and cam over platforms.
They suggested on facebook that a climbing platform is still in the works

At least for me, the decision between the EDP and the Seeker is going to be tough. I'm interested to see the review videos come out for the Seeker, but right now at $20 cheaper, this has the edge.
