LWCG .75 is available now.
Wish I knew if Dan was going to come out with a fix for his bracket. If he doesn’t plan on it then I’d go ahead and pick one up.LWCG .75 is available now.
I hated the camming of the ambush. You couldn’t toe hook it. When it broke bark away or loosened up you have to get off the platform to reset it and that completely unequivocally SUCKS!!!!!
Looks like the same deal with this one. Offset post camming… Not only that but the V looks very narrow. That machined in square button is certainty going to have sharp edges. Not a fan… The only thing that I like on this is the molle hook.
I am gonna pass on the fix.
Does anyone know what pack this is? View attachment 64946
I really hope this fits a platform in there and carry two sticks per side easily.Does anyone know what pack this is? View attachment 64946
I used to think the exact same way that you do until I purchased liability insurance for life safety products. I can’t speak for all companies but I can assure you saddles made by companies with the liability insurance are not over priced and that insurance dictates the market price more than any other thing including costs of material in my opinion. I wish I could afford to produce them for $150 but truly I couldn’t do that and afford testing and insurance. There is way more to it behind the scenes than just throwing webbing and cordura together with a sewing machine man.In comparison to what the climbing industry has I think saddles can still go a long way by incorporating some of the features you already see elsewhere. We are still simply using cordura, webbing, and a few buckles. I know there are different needs but nonetheless , improvements can be made. Additionally I think saddles are extremely overpriced. I know the market dictates it and what someone is willing to pay is what something is worth but all these $240-300 saddles are ridiculous in my mind.
