Looks like tree hopper has a climber bottom now? I don’t think I have seen it mentioned

They’be been making climbers for a while now. I don’t think that’s new for this year unless it’s a new saddle hunting geared one specifically.

New pack from trophyline. If it carries well it could definitely fit the bill for what a lot of guys have been asking for.

Shoulder straps and hip belt leave a lot to be desired for carrying any more than 10-30lbs. They’re gonna be miserable on meat hauls.

Looks like it’s going to be really loud fabric.

Torso adjustment will work for under 5’10ish folks. Over 6’ or long torso fellers you’re not going to be comfortable.

When you boil it all down, it looks like you can go to academy and get a game winner pack for 60.00 that will do the same thing. And spend the extra 160 on a straight up frame pack you leave at the truck or 200 yards from your set for carrying meat when you kill.

Looks good for carrying saddle gear shorter distances. But I do agree with @kyler1945 anything heavy and terrain is gonna be tough. It’s very similar to my military assault pack. Hurts the shoulders with any kind of weight over distance. Maybe a better frame and straps and it’ll be the bees knees

Yeah, it looks similar to the last trophyline pack I had. I like their saddle designs and support them generally, but I haven't seen a pack out of them that looked good. And for that price you're in pop up 28 territory or similar. 230 for that is highway robbery.

i got my Kuiu adventure 2300 for less

That pack retails for $219, only $10 less.

But, they are $150 right now, during the Labor Day sale.

Trophyline has some good sales, so I'd expect it to be had for less at some point.

Neither are my cup of tea.

Product video to add to this:

Didn’t realize the meat “shelf” is just a piece of fabric to strap meat to front of pack. Sticking 40-75lbs of meat a foot away from your back will not be doable.

This is a really unuseful design.

If I’m being generous, it would be a good pack for someone under 5’10, who is a gear junkie and has a need for 20 pockets in a pack, hauling in layers during late season to use the meat fabric, and is gun huntjng 100+ yards from a deer they’d shoot so the fabric noise isn’t an issue, and will be carting or sledding their deer out. And they have 230.00 to burn on this use mode when 50.00 alps packs or game winner packs will do same thing and quieter.

Lots of features that are add ons from other brands.

Looks a like a fail. That ain’t a frame pack. How is it lifting the load off your shoulders? They need to sticks to saddles and platforms.

Spoke with CRUzR today about my seeker order, while I had them in the phone I asked about the mini. I was told the second prototype was sent out for testing. IF it passes testing, they’re hoping to have the first production run ready to ship by early October.

Great company, they we’re very forthcoming with all their information and even offered to expedite shipping since I’m on a time crunch and they were delayed more than anticipated.

Sent you a text regarding this.

You're right. It's perfect. lol.

I don't know much about Alps packs but it reminds me a bit of their Traverse EPS. That one's $239.99

I agree with everything you said except the fabric noise thing has never made sense to me. I hunted with a Kifaru Stryker all last year and never once felt like the fabric caused a noise issue. Like most things in hunting just slow and deliberate movements. Maybe its just me though. Zipper noise though.. much bigger problem in my experience

I do think your first post is correct that if you want a great hunting pack and a great healing pack you need two separate packs. The MR pop up seem like they are just okay at both, so maybe that's the best compromise to date.

I have been climbing using New Tribe Tengu saddle and it pairs nicely with my Dryad Drey so the black color is covered by Dryad ASAT camo. While more expensive than their basic saddle (I used one since learning rec climbing 12 years ago) it is a very great saddle for 1 sticking/ platform technique.

I’ve packed at least a dozen deer out in my popup. Half were over a mile.

I’ve packed 120lbs of elk and gear on a death March with the popup.

The pack continues to surprise me.

Yes it could have a better belt. But it is an amazing pack for hunting deer sized game at any distance from access for day trips.

I don’t like calling things great. I’ll just say it like this: I’ve owned about 2 dozen packs for deer hunting. I’ve packed out 20+ deer in the last several years. I walk further and do dumber things than 99% of hunters. The popup is the only pack that has stuck.

Only flaw that could be changed is a soft feel quiet bag to replace the bullet proof nylon bag as an option.

I don’t care about pack noise generally - we agree. But if I’m spending 230.00 it better do something well. This pack does nothing well. And it’s going to be really loud. Notice they had music on while he’s fishing around.
