Am I missing the size/volume?

I’ll see your pack and raise you this one

That’s not new really. I bought one last year to try out.

Wind resistant on the jacket and pants. Windproof on the hoody. I ordered the jacket to try out. If it sucks I will return it. It’s it’s good. I will buy the rest of the set

I look forward to hearing some feedback on this stuff.

Got my Proximity jacket in. Very nice jacket. Quiet. Seems very warm. Definitely cut bigger than other Kuiu jackets in the same size. First impressions are good.

Any chance you sat in front of a huge fan or had harsh winds today and tried it? The only thing stopping me from buying it is how wind resistant is it? Am I better off with Sitka stratus or fanatic?

I will have to try it tomorrow. I will try this then put my stratus and fanatic on see if there is a difference.

Weight wise this is right between the two.

Thanks man! Does it seem between the two warmth wise? Aside from wind resistance at the moment…

Okay… so got home from work. Plugged in a high cfm fan and stood in front of it wearing the Proximity jacket, fanatic lite jacket and stratus.

After a few minutes of standing there I could feel the fan through the proximity jacket. Handles it way better than the fanatic lite but certainly not as good as the Stratus. That windstopper works…

well dang… I really like the look of the proximity, but that may not cut it.

Zero wind will come through the Stratus, I wear mine coyote hunting all winter, on a snowmobile going 60 mph at times in sub zero temps, last winter was absolutely brutal here as you know, lots of days I left the house on my sled and it was below zero, you wana test wind stopping ability jump on a sled going 50-60 when it’s -10 out, and all my base layers are merino wool in the winter with no wind stopper in them so I know it’s the Stratus doing it’s thing, I read some of the temps on here people can handle with the Stratus and then have to switch to something heavier like a Fanatic, and all I can assume is I must be more seasoned to cold weather, temps, to wear mine in those conditions because I have zero problems, I will say coyote hunting I’m generally on the move more than a guy in a stand, but still, somedays I mite be sitting for a couple hours in one spot, I can’t imagine a more versatile piece over the Stratus for NY weather.
