New to rifles, mounting a scope

I’m sure that’s true. The guy mounting my cheap vortex scope then proceeded to show me a $450 1x scope from hawke that was beautiful. I know that doesn’t even scratch the top of the iceberg but that thing was nice nice.

I’m gonna go cheap! I can’t justify scope money for something I don’t use more than once a year.

vortex has a crossfire in 1-4x. I’ll probably go that route just to play around with
I put a crossfire on my 512 last year and have been happy with it. I rarely use more than 3 or 4x deer hunting

I'm definitely on the minority but I like handling a nice rifle way more than I've ever liked a bow. A good, well balanced rifle just feels good in my hands and I like the way i feel toting one. Guess I read The Deerslayer and Last of the Mohicans too many times

That is a nice gun @gcr0003. You should kill some deer with it up there in those hills.
I’d have to agree with you @Nutterbuster

I love to bow hunt but I love my rifle season and take a week off to travel to PA for it every year

If there is a Dnz mount that fits the rifle, it’s super easy.
