Beast button trimmed down. Really helps with using the cam buckle. I'm still contemplating a cam cleat but I won't attempt that until the season is over.

Folded up flat it packs nice, especially with the corners cut off.

I have 1/4" shock cord holding it in place on my pack. Doesn't budge on the hike at all and removal is easy and quiet. I undo the top cord and I can pull the platform right off my pack. The bottom cord has just enough tension to keep it from flopping and allow for it to be pulled out easily.

To the original poster who is asking about "no sticking" techniques: the "JRB Hitch Climbing" method is agreeably a work in progress, but fits the description:
1. No sticks or steps or platform
2. No throwball
3. No linemans
4. 100% tie in to tree
5. Zero slack
6. Always have a quick path to ground in an emergency.

What I have NOT yet published is how i can now get myself to hunting height and only need to make one move/transfer. I am still perfecting it in test climbs.

There are two videos on the playist and this is the most recent.

Hmmmm.....no throw ball, no sticks, and only one move, eh?

Must be a pole-deployed system. Can't think of how else to get that rope attachment that high.

This one hasn’t been bumped in a awhile.

I just got the ridge runner 2.0 and Matt was the man. I had him drill it for a harken 150 and added bolts to easily add an aider. I just have to get it. Locks solid to the tree. Plus if I want to save a move my little mini with a micro cam cleat with aider.
RR - 4 lbs 9 ounces with cleat and rope
RR with mini- 5 lbs 14 oz with cleats and ropes
No aiders

That’s what I use to SRT a pvc packable pole method to advance my rope to height

In my woods, a climbing method not capable of bypassing as many branches as i need to on the right tree in the right spot isn't of much use.

With the improvements in hitch climbing, i can bypass anything in my way, and still not need any kind of sticks, platform or throw ball.

I didn't wanna rush to show a video of my progress while i am still making progress but things are settling out now. I just need time, a tree and a camera operator.
