Novix tree stand!

Do you think it's enough difference from the vanish? Isn't it only like a pound lighter?
Weight is relative to me. I can just not carry so much crap to make up the weight. But that larger v bracket on the platform is the biggest difference between xop. I didn't like the narrow v bracket on xop and had some kick outs. If it's larger like on the beast stand or the Echo, then that's what I'm looking for.

Yeah I had the same problem with my XOP last year. I ended up hunting out of super small trees to compensate for it

Can't understand being a tree stand company in today's hunting "climate" and not making a smaller/lighter stand. It does look nice though.

The question is, how much lighter do you think they can go with cast and still maintain the 300lb weight rating? On that note, I wish they would have been a little more radical with the weight trimming and brought in a 7.5-8.5lb stand. Something like the .5 only cast, cheaper, and bigger V.

For ME, cut the seat size down, thin the stand more, and give it a 250lb rating.......I know I am in the minority though, especially with you guys that are 6'4" and 260lb.

The next lightest stand will be made out of carbon fiber and it will be so expensive that no one will buy it except hardcore gear junkies. Timber Ninja is working on one I believe.

You answered the question well. I don't care about a 300 lb weight rating.

Mean while every Nancy looking to cast stones acted like the 275 weight rating on the Beast stand would be the kiss of death. 300lb rating is a must.

Can’t have your cake and eat it too.
You’re either going to pay money for higher quality material to reduce weight or have a smaller cast stand.
Higher quality materials and cheap don’t go together. Save up for a .5/1.0/Beast/Hush

250 bucks for an "entry level" stand.....that is crazy to me. I guess if u have the money it's no big thing but if u don't have the money that's a big chunk....from that video it gave me the perseption it was geared toward entry level/more budget..250 u can have platform and saddle.....not to turn it into saddle vs stand debate...I used various hang on stands before I discovered saddle. Cheap heavy ones and mid range kinda light ones and an expensive lightweight one.....the weight never bothered me from any of them because of how u carry it on ur back...the thing that is the biggest turn of to me is no matter what size I carried I would always get tangled in vines and catch low branches...I hated that. Saddle system is so much more streamline so I can slip thru the thick stuff and not get caught up. I'm on public and being "mobile" is high up on my gear requirements and with the hang on off ur back it's much more difficult to slink thru thick brush.

Let me clarify. It's a entry level stand for being truly mobile. The other stands in it's price range are glorified permanent sets. The progression of stands would be novix / out on a limb hush / lwcg / beast. The higher end being $625 for a stand

What would fair pricing be for an entry level cast stand made in USA? Similar saddle platforms are $180. Chinese made platforms that aren't imo as nicely designed cost about the same. And on sale, right now, these aren't going for $250. They are being had from less than $200 shipped to somewhere in the mid $220s it sounds.

How much is it to fill up these days? I think the price is fair.

This is about the only competition. But it weighs more than advertised and needs a batwing and stuff to make it work like most people like. I wanted to like the m7 but it's just not great in my opinion
