Novix tree stand!

Don't look over here, the irony isn't lost on me. I have never bought one of those big ole clunky platforms. It defeats one of my top reasons for saddle hunting. I do think this is a great deal and would consider getting one for friends or my wife to sit in for hunts. I think the big platforms were a likely progression to aid the new saddlehunters that would be more anxious standing on small platforms like a scout or ROS into the saddlehunting craze.

This is getting de-railed lol awesome tree stand for the money...that said saddles shines with a pack-less setups...long live bolts and ROS

Bull. You can't get one of those for 200 used, and it takes heavy modification to stand up to this. And no amount of homebrew will stop the kick out of that old platform V.
 
I wear a saddle while I’m in my tree stand and I wear a saddle while on my predator platform. Does that still make me a saddle hunter lol.
My Tethrd Phantom is my safety harness so if I’m siting on the ground with it on or 30’ in a tree ,I’m still saddle hunting...LOL
 
Well crap. I ordered one. Add to the collection I guess. Slightly used .5 and a brand new beast sitting in my gear room now. If the Helo is legit I’ll be selling the other two…not gonna hold my breath though.
 
So who all bought one? Whoever did should definitely make a video on it when it comes in.

They supposedly have accessories that attach to the platforms but I think they have been saying that since the 2019 ata.

I saw that, and the placement made me question what could you really do with it.

I bought one. Might as well. I’ve said if they came out with one in these specs and weight 8-8.5#, I’d jump on it. They didn’t get the weight, but not bad either.

It’s nothing more than a little thinner assault II. Nothing to get crazy about, but I was going to buy an assault and was waiting to see this one come out. I like the specs and price on the helo, so I bought it.

If I already had an Assault, I wouldn’t sell it just to buy the Helo. Not enough difference for me.
 
I ordered one. The platform size was dead on what I want. Not to worried about weight these days. I had a xop vanish before and said I would never buy a stand with a small v on back of stand. This seems to have the larger v and hits my 2 personal preferences. Plus with the discount, it's in a great price range. Let's hope it's everything the specs say.

Do you think it's enough difference from the vanish? Isn't it only like a pound lighter?
 
Is the V on the back the same between the new Helo and the old Echo stand? Anyone have experience with their other stand the Echo?

This is me. I was really hopeful something in the 8 lb range was possible. Splitting hairs a bit I guess, but, small dreams are still dreams, and like bigger ones they don't always work out.
I appreciate Novix' effort though.
