Where the skys are so blue!
Does anyone beside lwcg have original ideas?
Doesnt seem that way. This year we get a re-release of the ambush (not a terrible thing, but still) and a, "what if we made it...just...BIGGER."

Side stacking sticks that were designed to pack on the stand were the last idea hot enough to get my juices flowing. Holding out hopes for the Kuhnert ambush or maybe something from the little guys like EWO and treehopper.

This roll out was a train wreck, all that build up and for what, were sorry it’s gonna be 5 more days and we really have nothing new here except a name that sounds like a pharmaceutical product, how hard is it to make a small tree stand, do these people in the know actually use or try this stuff? At this point LWCG is winning this game and if they can get production levels where they need to be there will be no stopping them.

I'd probably draw the line there. But all of the stuff I've read about is kinda lame. Hunting after legal light (don't tell me you've never sat late), buying the wrong license (I about lost my mind trying to make sure I had everything in Georgia), baiting (go ahead and lock up every hunter in Alabama for the past 50 years.) I'm not condoning it, but I'm not going to lie and say my moral compass is so perfectly aligned that I can muster a hoot to give about any of it.

If I was going to lease property or join a club worh them, I'd be more interested. I'm just a customer, so my main concern is fo they make a good product and do people who give them money get that product? Yes and yes? Ok then...

Haha!

I was thinking the slot on the front would be good for pivoting off of or toeing onto when moving around the tree. Thoughts?
That's the sales pitch, I'm sure. But you don't have to side load or push around the tree with a big platform like that. I don't see it being a positive.

I suspect it is there to accommodate folding that big step into place. Probably a weight-saving design over anything else.

The folding is what i thought it was for too. I dont mind it.

Looks solid and I love anything with USA on it baby. Although the way USA people are actin right now...not very proud. Most of those people aint out there catchin deers either though.

So a little over $100 cheaper. This definitely has my interest. I am going to wait another couple of weeks though as right now we have the Ridge Runner XL, Mission Platform, and we had a sneak peak of an XL platform from Tethrd. I plan on using my scout platform for early season, but I want to get an oversized platform for all day hunts during the rut. Now in short order there is a selection to choose from. HMM.
