So I tried
@Allegheny Tom suggestion of flipping the webbing on the Recon the other day. It definitely tightens things up, especially the back panel in how it reacts with with the bottom panel. It did not work for me; I can see where it would work for someone where the saddle was larger on them. For me I have small size Recon with a 32" waist and the way Mark has them stock fits perfect. I'm on the upper side for sizing on a small Recon, I can see if I had a regular Recon where this mod might make things even more comfortable.
Flipping the panels caused the top strap to pull tighter which put too much pressure on the small of my back if I had the back panel high and it put pressure on my hip area if worn lower. Like I said earlier if I had a larger saddle I can see where this would tighten things up and increase comfort, but the way it is set originally provides the perfect support.
Just a thought for people to keep in mind when they are thinking of doing this mod; where you are on the size spectrum of the saddle matters. Although, it is a really easy mod and just as easy to put it back the way it was. That said this is an awesome little saddle and I am very happy that I bought one.
