Nutterbuster's Treehopper Recon Sling Video

The stock belt is made up of 2 sides...one side is just webbing and the other side has Mark's speed buckle. I believe Nutter has 2 pieces of the webbing side which would accommodate the Austrialpin a little better than just adding the Aust to the stock belt because you will need to cut off the speed buckle. Call Mark and ask if he will sell you a stock belt and also add in another 1/2 belt (the webbing side), then you will be able to choose which you like best. I'm not sure but you may be able to buy an Austrialpin from him...I thought I heard he was thinking about adding them to his offerings?? As always, call Mark and talk to him, he's very accommodating.
Thank you the additional information. I appreciate it.

Any pics of the shock cord belt mod?

@TCaltagirone actually made this one.

Well, after weeks of debating with myself, I finally just broke down and ordered a Recon.

Can you share the ETA on shipping? Are these in stock? I've been dealing with a Mantis for a couple seasons now and am contemplating pulling the trigger. I thought I wanted an H2 but this appears to be another good option. Thanks!

Here is a simple one. Mine is similar. Not at home to take pics now.

Not sure yet. Got an email today about what size I wanted. I also requested to buy an additional half belt so I can potentially replace the buckle with a different no sew buckle like Nutterbuster did. As such, I dont know if my order is representative or not.

Did you ask about sizing? Or did he proactively reach out after getting the order to go through options?

Thanks for sharing. I've got an email to Mark. Pretty sure I'm ordering regardless but was curious.

I got an email from him about sizing. However, I had already emailed right after placing my order to ask about an additional half belt.

Just spin the plates on the webbing 180*. Like when your seatbelt buckles used to get a twist in them. Then adjust the two panels so the one with lineman’s loops is on the inside. It makes it more comfortable in my and many others opinions.

Does that affect the functionality of the lineman’s loops and molle webbing.

I just tried it this afternoon. Having the lineman loops and Molly on the inside was weird for me. I didn't notice a difference in comfort, but it's so easy to twist the panels and see for yourself that I'd encourage everybody to do it

The lineman’s are still accessible. The Molle might be covered idk I don’t use it.

I twisted the webbing today and it’s way better for me. I was having trouble getting the upper half snug especially for walking and climbing but now it fits my 31” waist like a glove. The molle is unchanged but it does effect the linesman loops but with the way they linesman angles up it’s not a problem. Check out the video posted above. I haven’t tried the shock cord belt though because I think with my sticks and platform hanging from the sling during the climb will be too much weight and pull the sling down? Plus I haven’t felt an issue with the stock belt.
