Glad you weren't hurt or anythingI dunno if this goes here or the rope thread but I fell off my aider once when I was first messing with them. Before using a good aider I was just using one made from rope, think I was ascending my second stick and my foot got caught in the aider and I couldn’t get it loose. Kept pushing off the tree and didn’t notice my linemans belt had scooted down the tree; my foot shifted in the aider and I went sideways while still tethered to the tree. Foot kicked completely off to the side of the tree and I went a$$ over teakettle. Only thing that saved me going to the ground was my linemans belt which went taunt and promptly slammed me into the side of the tree. It all happened so fast I was stunned and just kinda hung there for a bit. My humility and solitude was harshly assaulted by my old hunting partner laughing his butt off from another tree, followed by him yelling “that was awesome, do it again.”
Any frequent readers of SH.com in the past 6 months can assume where you're going with these multiple mishap threads. We love ya brother and maybe you're onto something but... are you just gonna come out and admit you got a "2TC or die" tattoo in a sweaty crevice or what? For any one who preps trees for screw ins, Single steps or sticks..its à definate game changer..cuz you just get rid of that stuff...all yo need is the tree

The only important question is: leg straps?I dunno if this goes here or the rope thread but I fell off my aider once when I was first messing with them.
