One shot, everyone knows the rules!

I watched that closely, after I noticed I was consistently high and right. I run an IQ bowsight and a nose button, so I was very conscientious about where my nose hit the button and whether or not the dot was lined up on the sight. It did seem like I was either hitting it as soon as I drew or fidgeting to get it right. Gonna have to get more reps in again soon.

I've done this for years but just started doing it this season. Pulled out the 3d buck target this am and I like to shoot two arrows. One is a broadhead, the other is a field tip. I'm feeling pretty good about this. About 29 yard shots. IMG-0659.jpg

Compound. 1st is FP at 30 this a.m at 1st light. 2nd is BH from 38 last night. Won't be able to blame my setup if I miss this year......
Season starts tomorrow morning here in Illinois. Made it another opening day. Be safe and shoot straight my cyber friends!

I had the yips here recently and it might have been over stressing to have arrows made for my hunting trip I had this passed weekend. I didn’t have all my gear prepared and I was rushing so that doesn’t help anything. My first shots for a couple days were trash. I’m kind of glad I didn’t shoot at a deer this weekend since my shooting had been off. I got back in the yard this morning and it’s back to business as usual. Dead on. Something weird was going on in my head causing my release to be atrocious. Y’all shoot straight out there.

i think I’m stealing a quote from @BTaylor here but, that’s the “funstration” of shooting a stickbow.

I have been struggling a little bit shooting a new bow this year. It was starting to get pretty frustrating and a little disheartening. So tonight I pulled out a bow that I hunted with two years ago. 07FEA474-82FD-44B0-9958-ADB9F74B2A12.jpeg
This was my first shot.

I then decided to shoot a quick round on my course. Pics attached. I tried to only shoot one arrow at each target but I was shooting well enough to enjoy it again so I shot a few extra. All shots were between 15 and 20yd with the exception of the turkey, bag target, and last deer. They were shot at 25, 27, and 33 just because @raisins told me I couldn’t :)
(To be clear, I don’t think this handful of shots are good enough to prove I can. I was just feeling froggy tonight)

It’s funny how some bows just ‘fit’ you better than others.

You should never put that bow down again! Nice shooting
